Identify Exposure- 2pm Snap Partner
Take a look at the following Aperture and Shutter Speed Settings.
Please indicate which pairs would
1. Over expose Image
To overexpose the image, I would use the F/1.4 which would have a wide aperture, and shutter speed of 1/4 sec, which would have a slow shutter, allowing too much light to enter.
2. Underexpose Image
To underexpose the image, I would use the F/32 which would have a small aperture, and shutter speed of 1/1000 sec. which would have a fast shutter, not allowing much light to enter the image.
3. Properly Expose Image
To properly expose the image I would use the F/32 and shutter speed of 1/4 sec. which would have a small aperture and a slow F stop, therefore allowing the proper amount of light to enter into the image. Another way to properly expose the image, would be using the F/1.4 and shutter speed of 1/1000, which would have a wide aperture and fast shutter, causing a proper amount of light to enter the image.
4. Is ISO 100 better or worse for a setting of F/1.4 and Shutter of 1/4 sec. WHY?
For a setting of F/1.4 and shutter speed of 1/4 sec., an ISO of 100 would be worse since the aperture is wide and the shutter speed is very slow, a lot of light will enter the image. With an additional ISO of 100, more light will come into the image, possibly creating a white picture (too bright).
5. Is ISO 800 better or worse for a setting of F/32 and Shutter of 1/1000 sec. WHY?
For a setting of F/32 and shutter of 1/1000 sec., an ISO of 800 would be better since the aperture is smaller and the shutter speed is very fast, causing the image to become darker and not much light to come in. With an addition of an ISO of 800, the image will become brighter, which will eventually cancel out the darkness of the F/32 and shutter speed of 1/1000, with the brightness of the ISO of 800.
